Includes a psychological consultation, discussion of developmental history, a half-day visit to your home or child/young person’s school involving an observation and activities/assessments exploring cognitive & learning skills and social, emotional & mental health needs in more detail as necessary. A final report will be provided and you can choose whether you prefer a short summary report or a more comprehensive report. Feedback meetings are available. Any follow-up assessment can be discussed as appropriate.
Areas explored can include Verbal & Non-Verbal Ability, Reading, Writing, Maths Skills, Literacy Difficulties (Dyslexia), Memory, Processing Speed, Executive Function Skills, Adaptive Skills as well as the emotional aspect of learning/education such as Perceptions of the Self as a Learner, Anxiety, School Refusal, Self-Esteem and Academic Struggles.
