My approaches are informed by psychodynamic and systemic ideas which help to consider both what may be influencing a situation from within a person (ideas, experiences, fears, beliefs, the unconscious) as well as around them (interactions, social ideas, systems). The model I think encompasses this thinking is the biopsychosocial-spiritual model which allows us to consider the whole person in a holistic way as much as is necessary. This model is focused on the dynamic relationship between the biological (physical), psychological (mental and emotional), social, and transcendent (spiritual) in a given situation or personal experience.
